Counting Blessings – #008: What’s New With You? (Did you know God moves in different ways?)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. – Isaiah 55:8
I also want to share with you what I've been reading these past few weeks: Work in Progress by Mariann Lopera. This book is very timely, especially for me as an adult experiencing a lot of changes. I'm also the kind of person who looks for immediate results, and I'm still in the stage where there's some inconsistency that needs work.
I don't know if I'm still in the adjustment phase at my job, but I'm glad because I know God is using the people around me in my workplace. Through them, I'm able to see the areas in myself that still need growth.
And these three things I'm still learning: Discipline, Consistency, and Commitment.
I pray for God's grace to help and train me along the way.
This experience I'm having relates so much to the book I've read.
Let me share with you the heart reminders from this book:
• Take one step at a time.
• Enjoy the process with Jesus.
• Trust the One who is with you in the process.
John 13:7 (NLT)
[7] Jesus replied, "You don't understand now what I am doing, but someday you will."
Seasons may look different and days may be constantly changing, but one thing remains unchanged—God's grace and love that sustain us every single day. π
and If I were to sum up what I've learned from this book in one Bible verse, it would be:
Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."
I'm also thankful to God for the rest He has given me throughout the week. It's all by His grace, even though this week has been busy. I was assigned to share a word during our morning prayer, led the offertory in our Sunday service, and was also able to finish reading the book.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your grace.
peace. love. joy.
